In the midst of your Christmas Eve preparations, I hope you can find time for a short break to listen to a Christmas song by Canadian singer and songwriter, Bruce Cockburn, wonderfully assisted by Roseanne Cash and Lou Reed. I’ve always loved Cockburn’s gritty lyrics, unique insights and gravelly voice, which combine so well in his Christmas carol, “The Cry of a Tiny Babe.” Here’s the link; you can scroll down through the lyrics and click on the slide show that accompanies the song. Enjoy! http://www.davidlose.net/2014/12/unlikely-carols-bruce-cockburns-cry-of-a-tiny-baby/.
We keep LeeAnn and Woody Farley and their family in prayer at the death of LeeAnn’s mother, Juanita Sigmon, last week. May the Lord grant her eternal rest and shine perpetual light, the light of the Christ we worship this day, upon her.
Our Christmas Eve service is this evening at 7:00 pm at Zion. O, come let us adore him, Christ the Lord!
I wish you and those you love all the blessings of this holy time.
Yours in Christ,Pastor Linda
