In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John begins his gospel with this beloved and familiar passage. In this evening's Bible study, "Making Sense of Scripture," we will explore the Word of God and how the Word is alive among and in us today. We'll meet at 6:00 at Zion, have soup and sandwiches and share the Bible study following dinner. I hope you can be here - your insights will enrich our study!
Zion members and friends - please remember to bring low sugar cereals to the church for the Plenty! food pantry.St. Mark folks - your donations of basics like peanut butter, tuna, rice and beans for Plenty! help feed our hungry neighbors. Bring them to church and we'll make sure they get to the food pantry.

But Ruth said, ‘Do not press me to leave you or to turn back from following you! Where you go, I will go; where you lodge, I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God my God.' Ruth 1:16
