This Saturday, June 3, kicks off the Oak Grove Pavilion season with the Whitetop Mountain Band. The music begins at 7:00 pm. The Whitetop Mountain Band is a family-based band from the highest mountains of Virginia. The members have done much to preserve the Whitetop region’s style of old time fiddling and banjo picking and are legendary musicians and teachers of the style. The Oak Grove Committee could sure use your help getting the stage, chairs and pavilion ready for Saturday night; a clean-up session will begin at 10:00 am on Saturday.

"This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you," John 15:12. It is natural - and everybody must admit this - that everyone would like to be shown love, fidelity and help. Therefore we have been intermingled by God in order that we may live side by side and serve and help one another. God has no need whatever of such service and help, nor does Christ give this command for his sake. But we, of course, need it in our inmost hearts. - Martin Luther
