We have several parish events coming up on Sunday, October 5: At Zion, we will rejoice to receive Lola Gail Farley through the sacrament of Holy Baptism. Lola is the daughter of Calin and Mindy Farley, the brother of Jakeob, and the granddaughter of Woody and LeeAnn Farley
St. Mark will host Willis United Methodist Church for our annual World Communion Day joint service at 11:15 am. Pastor Darlene Marshall from Willis UMC will be preaching.
Oak Grove Pavilion organizers welcome all who contributed to this year's great concert series AND all who might be interested in helping next year to a cookout at the home of the Motleys at 512 Oak Hill Drive at 3:00 pm. If you planned, set up, worked in the canteen, baked a cake or helped in any other way or want to, come on out! We'll provide wings, hot dogs and drinks; you bring a side dish and a lawn chair. If you're coming, please RSVP at email@example.com or 745-5671.
Our parish is in need of someone to oversee our computers and copier and to help when we're experiencing "issues." You don't have to be a computer guru but if you feel you have some good working knowledge of this kind of technology and want to offer your services, your pastor and parish administrator would be your new best friends.
God saw everything that [God] had made, and indeed, it was very good.- Genesis 1:31
While I know myself as a creation of God, I am also obligated to realize and remember that everyone else and everything else are also God's creation. -Maya Angelou
